An old shed and garage boxes have given way to a unique urban redevelopment project. Ground-level homes and apartments are carefully embedded in the fabric of alleys and squares of the historic city. The whole is fordable and enjoyable for cyclists and pedestrians. Cars are parked underground. Lots of greenery and water-robustness have really been chosen. The choice of plants is remarkable. The 2 robust chestnut trees already play the leading role in the park. In the project, brick also gets a lot of attention. It is processed in different contexts, referring to the patchwork of materials found on the old surrounding buildings. It gives grain to the buildings. This creates a simple yet generous architecture with a generous experience in a sublime historic and urban location. Here there is room for marvel and admiration. Just a wonderful place to live.
